This policy explains how CyberSight Forensics (a trading name of Phishermans Ltd) handles personal data when you use this website or contact us. We are the data controller for the information described here.
What we collect
- Enquiry details you provide through our contact form: your name, organisation, email address, optional phone number, area of interest and message.
- Technical logs generated automatically by our hosting and content-delivery providers, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, kept for security and to keep the service running.
- Local preferences (your theme and language choices) stored in your browser only. These never reach our servers.
How we use it and our lawful bases
Under the UK GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Legitimate interests — to respond to your enquiry, run and secure our website, and prevent misuse.
- Steps prior to a contract / performance of a contract — where you ask us to provide services.
- Legal obligation — where the law requires us to retain or disclose information.
- Consent — where we ask for it specifically; you may withdraw it at any time.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate (for example, hosting and email), with professional advisers where necessary, and where we are required to by law. Any data handled as part of a forensic engagement is governed by the separate agreement for that engagement.
International transfers
We aim to keep data within the UK or European Economic Area. Where a provider processes data elsewhere, we put appropriate safeguards in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information only for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete it. Engagement records are retained in line with the relevant contract and our legal obligations.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, and to data portability where applicable. To exercise any of these, email support@cybersightforensics.com.

If you have a concern we have not resolved, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. Our ICO registration number is ZC098139.
